Find a Neo-Geo romset (don't use the MAME one, use 0.2.97.39 FBA thank you ). Find the Neo Geo bios (neogeo.zip file, should be in the romset), put it in the neogeo rom folder. Copy your Neo-Geo roms over to the neogeo folder and reboot like before to see them. - Every Neo Geo game needs this rom (you need neogeo.zip only once). Some games however are variations and need its parent, like all games would need neogeo.zip. In example kof99 is the base version of King of Fighters '99. If you have this kof99.zip and neogeo.zip in the Neo Geo roms.
- The version 1.0.0.01 it's currently upstream/wip, which it's the one that it's currently been used by retroarchlibretroretropie. Since the DAT files from fbneo libretro port are upstream, so it's normal that there are missing files, due that repository gets updated almost daily, and I only update this archive a few days after the new mame.

Neo Geo – a system of arcade machines, released by SNK (Shin Nihon Kikaku) in October 1990 in Japan. But also the system has the full name of Neo Geo Multi Video System (abbreviated as Neo Geo MVS). Neo Geo means new world. Shortly after the release of MVS, SNK decided to conquest the market of home video games. Console called Neo Geo Advanced Entertainment System (Neo Geo AES) was released and it was completely identical to the arcade machine. The resemblance was in software and hardware configuration, however, had a different slot for cartridges. Obviously, SNK didn’t want that AES would be used as a gaming machine. Smart move, but still there were some enthusiasts who have created an adapter – Phantom MVS converter thingy. By the way, the price for home system was $500 which at that time considered a big amount of money. However, up to 4 people at once could play on it!
